Australia, the last bastion of western colonialism would fall, and the western world would be removed from the Pacific regions. Eventually, New Zealand would be taken as well. The fall of European expansionism would be guaranteed. Admiral Zun looked at Europe and America as one. China was bigger and greater than both continents combined. China had more manufacturing strength than the United States and Europe combined. Almost thirty percent of the manufacturing capacity in the world were controlled solely by China. In perspective, the United States only had sixteen percent. When you add Germany at five percent, Italy at two percent, France and the United Kingdom at less than two percent each, it was still less than China. While Europe and American governments continued to reduce manufacturing capacity and the outsourcing of jobs, China used this to their benefit. At a point in time, China produced low cost goods for the rest of the world and the world economies, and people became dependent on these low cost goods. Now, China has used their manufacturing capacity to build the largest navy in the world. Admiral Zun, was still amazed at how quickly the fleet built up over the course of his career. When he first became an officer in the PLAN (Imperial Navy), it was in the year 2001. He remembers when the PLAN had a total of only two hundred war ships comprised and no aircraft carriers, in the year 2007. By 2015, the number of warships rose to 329 warships. The writing was on the wall, and Admiral Zun himself took credit for the latest buildup. He knew that force projection was the greatest weakness China had, and that a Navy was integral for China’s dominance.
